I’ve got my plans set from Sept 7th-26th, with stops at San Francisco, Portland, Washington DC, Boston (still need accommodations there), and Seattle (and maybe a day trip to Vancouver). Then from the Sept 27th-Oct 1st, might just say what the heck, and fly to a different destination daily. That would be crazy, wouldn’t it? Then on the 3rd I head to Orlando, and finally on October 6th, I finish it off in NYC… good times to be had indeed.

US tour update

So far I’ve got a place to crash in San Francisco, Portland, and DC… I need a place in NYC, Boston, Orlando, and maybe Seattle, and perhaps Chicago. I figure the toughest one will be Boston, since I don’t think I know anyone who lives out there.

If not, I hear Motel 6 is cheap, right?

If you don’t know what I’ve got lined up, I’m in for the “All You Can Jet” pass on JetBlue from Sept 7 - Oct 6.

So, anyone in NYC/Boston/Orlando/Seattle/Chicago want to house me for a day or two while I go on my whirlwind tour of the US. Let me know.
Thanks, and have a nice day.

A little white board message about my plans for the month of September…

Ok, I’ve got 30 days to cover as many cities as I want/can. Anyone have any top choices?

Flying high for a month.

So JetBlue is doing an “All You Can Jet” for $499 between Sept. 7 thru Oct. 6th. And I am going to take full advantage of that. Reading about the folks that did this last year, and a lot just slept on the plane. Maybe I’ll do some epic turn around trips and just sleep on the plane as well, who needs a hotel room, really. My flights will leave out of Long Beach, CA. Now, if you’re reading this, please answer a few important questions… Does JetBlue fly near you? Anyone want me to visit? And most importantly, anyone want to house me for a day or two?

So, this is my possible October Itinerary. Hang out in NYC for a week, week and a half, from Oct. 5-14 of 15. Then train down to DC to hang out there for a few days or so until the 19th, then fly down to Orlando (by way of NYC?) and check out potter land until the 26th, then off to Vegas for 4 days, then head back home.
Total cost of flights? $396 +taxes and charges.
Think this is a good plan?

Fandom and the internet.

I’ve been thinking about this topic every once in awhile. I find it strange really. Before the net, I’d enjoy television/movies/books/music/sports either alone, or with friends I’ve met the old fashioned way, in person, not online. Discussing TV w/friends, going to concerts, checking out sporting events, all done with friends and family or even solo.

Initially, I’d chat w/random people in random chat rooms back when AOL was the internet hang out it used to be. It was just something to do when I was bored, nothing else. Never really hung out with anyone offline. It was not until the last 3 or 4 years I’ve found that you internet peeps are alright.

I’ve met a lot of cool people with similar interests. Made great friends, and have had some great times. You peeps are awesome.

It’s funny, when I have a topic I want to write about, I really should just write, or at least take some notes. I’m drawing a blank, lost my train of thought, maybe it’ because I’m watching TV as I write this. I’m sure I have more to say, but at this time, nothing comes to mind.

Thanks for reading, have a nice day.
