Killing time at Starbucks until my netbook battery runs out.

So I’m sitting here in a difficult to type notebook, hitting the backspace every so often because the qwerty keyboard is made for a 10 year olds set of hands. Despite it being 95+ degrees out right now, it is actually bearable, although I clearly would rather be in the low 80’s degree temp of San Diego.

I’ve got about 50% left in the (battery) life of my netbook and am wondering what do I have time to blog about. It has been ages since I last blogged, twitter has sucked the life out of me and limited my output to 140 characters or less. That doesn’t stop me from tweeting 10x an hour, but still, I feel handcuffed and need a bit more than the twitter limitation.

But as you can see, there really isn’t much substance on this blog. I am at the end of my 3rd week of unpaid vacation, and I’m getting to the point where I’m not enjoying it as much as I should be, plus the fact that a weekly paycheck had been a little bit more enjoyable. I doubt I’ll be saying the same thing once I get back to work, but then again, I have a job that I like, and I clearly get paid more than I feel I should. It’s a tough job, but somebody has to do it, but not me for at least one more week.

This will be my fourth and final week of “f”unemployment. I’m going to have a busy week because this week is comic con. Luckily, I have the week off this year to actually fully enjoy the madness that is the con without having to worry about leaving early to get to work. I really am not sure what I’m looking forward to most. I think it might be seeing the Dr. Who and Torchwood panels. Maybe the Guild panel too. I don’t know what it is, but this year feels a little on the “I don’t really care” about it anymore. Maybe it’s just me, but the excitement is not there.

I’ll probably feel different about it once Wednesday comes along. Tomorrow I get to stand under that hot Hollywood sun and check out the G-Force premier. I’ll bring along my HD cam and post unedited video from it. I highly doubt you’ll be able to hear the audio interview from my footage, but it’ll be there for your perusal.

Other than that, one more week left, then I can start filling my bank account with much needed funds. I can’t wait til I get those credit card bills for this month, good thing by the time I have to pay them, I’ll have worked 3 weeks or so and will be able to pay them off once again (not that I haven’t been able to pay them off now, but I’m just sayin’).

Thank you for reading this nonsense. It’s an honor and a privilege to have stalkers… I mean friends like you to read this.
