He gave round trip tickets to everyone in attendance of a Mavs game for Fan Appreciation Night, and paid out of pocket for Dallas’ Championship parade. Classy.

- The Book of Mormon is a hit Tony winning show on Broadway. This phrase is blasphemous… look it up. But the South Park guys are genius… that’s it… and that’s that.

- So much better to win at home… the Ducks finished off each series that year at home… seeing the 4 different sets of handshakes that year made me happy…
June 15, 2011: Luongo getting mocked chants here at the sports bar… that I approve.
- I was a Lagasse Stadium, hugenormous sports book in Vegas in the Palazzo. Not many (if any) sports books have a full service bar and restaurant built in…
June 15, 2011: Some guy in here put $100k on the Canucks to win… holy shit.
-This guy was none other then professional poker player Greg Mueller. I knew who he was walking into this huge place of a sports book, because I frequently watch Poker After Dark, where he plays big money games. His name just escaped me at the time. I also knew he played some puck and grew up in Vancouver… as someone pointed out… Sucks to be him… although I’m thinking that $100k wasn’t a big deal to him….
June 15, 2011: 9 more minutes and I’m in the money.
- It was gut check time… score was 3-0 and as long as there was less then 5 goals scored and the Bruins held on… winner winner, chicken dinner. Sure enough, I won my bet, but it was a close call since Vancouver emptied their net… I’m just glad they didn’t keep it empty to let another goal in. Money!
June 15, 2011: Don’t be stupid Friday should be dedicated to the Vancouver Canuckleheads rioting after a game 4 loss. @garyanddino
- Another mistake made here, since I said “game 4 loss”… total epic fail on my part… but even more so of an epic fail to the evil citizens of Vancouver… what crap was that. Who do you think you are… Los Angeles? I mean… first you take Hollywood and film all the good shit there… now you take after the LA Riots? What’s next? A few NBA teams? Wait, you tried that already? Ok… nevermind.
June 16, 2011: I wake up to see a 141 point move on words with friends by @IceTrojan… dammit dude.
- Truly a rude awakening… I’m still only down 37 points, but it isn’t my turn, and there’s about 30 tiles left remaining. I could stage a comeback.

So right now it’s only early Friday morning… and I’m just being proactive, because my RT count increased this week due to hockey… which I’m going to miss. If I get RT’d today or tomorrow, I will add that below… if not… hope you enjoyed this week’s TWiRT… are you a TWiRT? That’s what she said.

- Canuck fans yell “Luuuuuuu” every time he makes a save… and every time the posts make a save… I just want to yell “Looooooo… ser” every time. His Canucks are up 3 games to 2 with game 6 in Boston. If the Canucks win, then the Ducks remain the last team to win the cup at home… I still like that distinction. So much better to win at home.

June 2, 2011: Bruins vs Canucks had higher ratings in Boston then Celtics vs Lakers did… NHL > NBA all day, every day.
- Game 1 of the 2011 NHL Stanley Cup Finals gained more viewers then any game during the 2010 NBA Finals in Boston. Now the rest of the country needs to catch on to how much better hockey is as a sport then Basketball…
June 2, 2011: First Richards to Ducks tweet was started by some 18yr old in Texas… at least from what I could search… it’s gotta be total BS.
- Brad Richards was “rumored” to be heading to Anaheim… some idiot posted this without proof. This is why I won’t believe anything posted on Twitter until a reputable news source is cited.

May 24, 2011: Who watches playoff hockey at a baseball game… I do. #WatchAContactSport.
- I had a free voucher to go to the Angels vs. A’s game. It was free bobble head night too, so it was win win, but I was missing game 5 of the Canucks vs Sharks. Lucky for me, the bar/beer area of Angel’s stadium happened to have that game on, and with the Angels playing like crap, I decided I had enough and watched hockey at a baseball game. What else would a hockey fan do at a baseball game? Not toss around a beach ball, that’s for damn sure.
May 24, 2011: @briannecole @camfaller interesting… I’m guessing the “golden rule” applied. #ItsNotGayIfItsInAThreeway- So, I was just commenting on a situation that one brought up about one of their friends sexual escapades. Kids these days… heh.

- My friend here mentioned her shitty phone service and how she was only getting 2-3 bars of service… I had to chime in with this little joke which she found amusing enough to RT. If you know me, you know I throw zingers like these every so often. Good times.
May 25, 2011: I get an email notification when someone Retweets me… that could either get kind of cool or out of hand real quick.
- Twitter added this new functionality today where you’d get an email every time someone RT’s you… I’d imagine people who were frequently RT’d getting their inbox flooded with these emails, and disabled this feature so it wouldn’t get out of hand. It also added functionality where you’d get emails when someone @ replied you… I don’t need anymore unnecessary emails filling my inbox TYVM.
May 28, 2011: Cam Fowler w/the first base hit of the day for the Angels… in the 8th inning.
- And finally, someone had pointed out that Anaheim Duck Cam Fowler looked like Peter Bourjos of the Anaheim Angels. The Angels were no-hit against the Twins for 7 and a third innings before Cam Fowler’s twin (no pun intended) hit the first and only base hit of the game for the Angels, who went on to lose in extra innings 1-0. Weaver pitched 9 solid shut out innings for the Halo’s but got a no decision.

- And finally, the season finale of my favorite show, The Office. They’re looking for a new manager, and Catherine Tate was a possibility. Her character is good friends with the boss Jo, and although her interview didn’t go so well, she might have the extra edge to take over Michael Scott’s position. Catherine Tate is awesome, and it would be a privilege for Americans to see what she has to offer for fans of “The Office”.

At SFO, Waiting for my flight home

No better time then now to blog again. So, 2 days ago, I had a phone interview with Sony Ericsson and an hour later they called me back saying they wanted to do an onsite interview… on Thursday… today! Late notice, but who am I to say no. As a job seeker, got to go where the job is, and this job was smack dab in between San Francisco and San Jose.

I really wasn’t expecting them to call back so soon, or to even invite me for a second interview let alone an onsite interview. So yesterday afternoon, my last minute 6am flight was booked, wake up at 3am, head to ONT, fly to SFO… and waiting for me at baggage claim was a lone drive holding up my name on a big piece of paper. A town car, waiting for me, baller status, right?

So, once again, I go through 2 and a half hours of grilling. 3 different interviewers. Although I felt more comfortable with this set of interviews, I feel that I didn’t perform well enough to be confident that I got the job. It could go either way. With enough training, I’m sure I could do the job no problem. But it seems perhaps my knowledge was lacking. Only time will tell.

From what I’m aware, there are a couple positions open, and I’m in the top 5 of the candidates… I really want this one… almost as much as I wanted the job in Canada. I’m ready for another big move. I know I’ll miss my friends here, but I gotta go where the money is. And since Vegas is never a sure thing, I need to actually earn some cash legitimately.

So now I play the waiting game. Will they hire me or not. I don’t know. I have another position lined up that is not as lucrative as this one, in fact, I’d be getting a bit of a pay cut from my previous position. But I’m really tired of not working believe it or not. It’s not a position I wanted to be in this year. All I can do is wait.

- Went to a TV taping for a pilot starring Heroes’ Adrian Pasdar, his fellow Heroes were in attendance. It was amusing, but I’ve attended funnier pilots that weren’t picked up. Best of luck to him and the rest of the cast.
April 27, 2011: 80+ degree weather… perfect for 31¢ scoop night at Baskin Robbins.
- Annual 31 cent scoop night at 31 flavors. Didn’t go, but thought this could be useful info for someone.

- This RT was a direct result of Ducks Ryan Getzlaf fighting Nashville Predators Mike Fisher aka Mr. Carrie Underwood. The refs stopped the fight before any major damage was done.

- Yes, I’m a Hellcats fan, but I tweeted this because someone had tweeted their excitement for another show on the same night, so I just wanted to be different.
April 19, 2011: @TruckSquad would definitely prefer it coming back to City of Industry, only because I live a mile away and would be more inclined to go
- TruckSquad is a twitter account which tweets local Food Trucks. They used to have a weekly collection of food trucks, which ended for some reason. They wanted to know if anyone would like them to return. This was my response.

- This RT should probably be saved for next weeks edition, but I don’t want to go back to this tweet in a week. Things would be a lot different if the Ducks had their number one goalie the entire season. Questions remain for next season as to the composition of this team. It’s gonna be a long summer.

Thought about doing something different with this blog. Since I mainly use Twitter as my form of online expression, and I have ~700 or so followers, I figure why not list the tweets people thought were ReTweet worthy. So here goes nothing. Apr 10, 2011: lol, and if the games are shown on NBC, Chris Hansen can do the intro.
- This was regarding the Anaheim Ducks vs Nashville Predators perhaps being shown on NBC. Title the series: “To Catch a Predator”. I suggested maybe Chris Hansen can show up to intro the series. Got 1 RT “and others”.
Apr 12, 2011: I can always count on KDOC for something to watch.
- Being that my main source of entertainment comes from whatever local channels provide, I can always count on KDOC to show a rerun of Star Trek: The Next Generation or Hogan’s Heroes at just the right time… to cure that moment of boredom. 1 RT “and others”
Apr 13, 2011: Guess I should say hi to Hayden… wonder if she’d say hi if she saw me in my DSC shirt…
- This was a thought I had while at The Grove in Los Angeles. Filming that day was the show “Extra” w/Mario Lopez doing an interview with Hayden Panettiere. DSC shirt refers to the Divide Social Club, which is associated to one Milo V… who had been dating Hayden for an undisclosed amount of time… I did not wear my DSC shirt that day if you were wondering. 1 RT and “others”
Apr 13, 2011: Preds play the most frustrating style of hockey… guess that’s why they were 2nd in the league on goals against.
- Made it to the Honda Center after being in Los Angeles for the day, I watched a ludicrous display of hockey. The Predators play what is called “The Trap”… not fun but effective. Effective enough to shut down my Ducks. 1 RT and “others”

Apr 14, 2011: Dominic Monaghan got eliminated from American idol… he still has Drive Shaft.
- I don’t watch American Idol, but I was at a friends house that evening and thought the eliminated Idol of the night looked strangely like Dominic, who played Charlie on the hit show “Lost”. The character Charlie was in a band called “Drive Shaft”. 1 RT and “others”

- Bobby Ryan, player for the Anaheim Ducks was suspended for a “stomp” he gave to a player’s foot from the Nashville Predators… mind you, they are wearing hockey skates. Sure a dangerous play, but 2 games is ridiculous. Earlier this day Nicolas Cage was arrested for domestic disturbance. The surprise of this RT is that the RT came from someone unexpected, who isn’t a sports fan… maybe just really likes Nicolas Cage? 1 RT and “others”

Since the advent of Twitter, my blogging has basically come to a halt. Which is a shame… not that I had important things to say often, but things I had to say were important to me… I suppose. With twitter, it’s tough to recall tweets from the past due to the quantity of my tweets. Most of my tweets or more online conversations rather than epiphanies.

So, here are random thoughts I’ve had…

I’m fairly oblivious to my surroundings. If you’ve known me awhile, you probably are aware of this. I won’t notice some things that are blatantly obvious, even if I was staring it in the face. Someone would basically have to yell, “JEFF! PAY F’ING ATTENTION! IT’S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR NOSE!” or something like that.
My level of confidence has slowly deteriorated over the years. It’s not like I was a cocky bastard or anything, perhaps the things I used to be confident about, don’t matter much anymore. I probably should focus on regaining that confidence, or gaining confidence on things that are relevant… or something
I watch too much TV.
I miss my peeps, you know who you are… for life.
I want to travel again… yes, I know, I spent a month and a half traveling the US back in September/October, living out of a suitcase, that was so fun, and I want to do it again soon… perhaps in Europe or Australia… where I can crash on my peeps couches, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind… right? But it’s probably not the time… don’t want to kill another chunk of my savings, do I? I’m just glad I have this cushion… this rainy day money…

You know… I always start out a blog motivated. Somewhere at the end I usually get distracted… this is one of those times. At least I blogged again…
